Chanel released the Coco Mademoiselle Pearly Body Gel around the Holidays and I recently picked it up online when I saw it come back in stock.

Top notes: Orange and Bergamot
Middle Notes: Jasmine and May Rose
Base Notes: Patchouli, Veriver, and White Musk
The Pearly Body gel imparts a lovely, lightweight glow to the skin and is not sticky. It is decently hydrating although I wouldn’t use it as my main moisturizer when my skin is dry, I think it could be enough moisture on a hot summer day at the pool or beach, which is when I would usually wear this type of product. It could also be pretty worn on the shoulders or collarbone on a date night or night out.
This is a gorgeous champagne color shimmer that complements my fair skin tone, but would be beautiful on all skin tones. Sometimes the Chanel body shimmers are too dark of colors for me, or too bronze, but this is perfect.

I’m sure almost everyone is familiar with this fragrance by now, but on me Coco Mademoiselle is a warm, ambery fragrance with florals and citrus that is heavier on the patchouli and musk.
This Pearly Body Gel smells lighter then the perfume and leaves less patchouli on my skin, which I love. I’m fact, the patchouli is barely detectable to me. It’s mostly a light citrus floral with some light musk.
I don’t always like Coco Mademoiselle on my skin in the perfume form, but I really enjoy the scent of this gel. It is a lighter interpretation of the scent that is more wearable for me. This makes me really like this fragrance.

I really enjoy this body gel. Although I don’t wear shimmer on my body that often I’m glad I picked this up, as this is the first time I remember Chanel offering a body shimmer in this fragrance. Usually they only have the gold shimmer for Chanel No 5 around the holidays. I’m surprised this is still available on the website.
The Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Pearly Body Gel is currently available on Chanel.com and comes back into stock from time to time on Nordstrom, and still available at Macy’s.
