Welcome to the Jennifer Dean Beauty blog. I love Luxury Beauty, but I also love a good deal and have some affordable favorites. This blog is focused on mostly mid to high-end luxury makeup, luxury or drugstore skincare, and fragrance, and affordable home and fashion finds, how-to’s, my hobbies, and anything else I feel inclined to include.
Beauty topics may be Luxury, high-end, or affordable and include makeup, skincare, fragrance, hair, and body care posts in the form of reviews, favorites, thoughts, swatches, and comparisons on products I use, love, and test.
I also love to cook, create art, paint, draw, and decorate my home, so I will include these and other lifestyle topics as well.
I started this blog to combine my life long passion and love for all things beauty with my love of writing, but I also want to incorporate my other interests here as well.
I purchase all of the products I use and review with my own money, so there will not be any biased opinions here. All opinions are my own and may change as time goes by.
Thank you so much to every single one of you who takes the time to read my blog posts and follow along on Instagram. I am so grateful for your support!
My Current Skincare Routine can be found here.
My Skin type is sensitive, combination skin that is prone to eczema, rosacea, and breakouts. I tend to get oilier in the summer months and drier in winter.
My Fragrance Style and Notables: I tend to love a variety of fragrances especially musks, vanillas, white florals, and fruity scents. I have a very keen sense of smell and things smell stronger to me than the average person. I do not like Patchouli notes in fragrances, and don’t like scents that are too heavy or smell too masculine. I do enjoy many unisex fragrances, though. Fragrances last a very long time on my skin and I never have issues with staying power, so if i mention a scent not lasting in a review, you can know it is very fleeting. I also suffer from migraines and allergies so will mention it if a fragrance bothers me. I like my scents to stick closer to my skin and only use one spray on my wrists, on most days, or I overwhelm myself and trigger migraines. Sometimes if I;m going out I might use more sprays.
My Foundation Matches:
I am very fair with neutral to cool undertones and I tend to have some redness in my skin sometimes. I can get a little darker in the summer but I don’t try to and I don’t self tan at all.

- La Mer Soft Fluid Foundation in Ivory 02 (or current numbering is Ivory 120)
- La Mer Soft Moisture Powder Foundation in 02 Ecru
- La Mer Cushion Foundation in Neutral Ivory 12 (this foundation runs light)

My Hair Type
My hair is very long and currently at hip length. I have straight to wavy hair that ranges from 1a-2c and is fine to medium strand density. I have finer hair but a lot of it and it can be quite dense. My color is natural medium to dark brown. I have a lot of natural colors in my hair that range from dark blond to an ashy brown. It lightens naturally in the summer sun and i tend to have natural blonde and red highlights. I was very blonde as a child. As my gray hairs come in they tend to be curly and wavy with some S curls. I have dyed my hair in the past, for a few years in my 20’s, but currently my hair is it’s natural color. It tends to be oilier on the scalp and drier at the ends because it is so long. I tend to like moisturizing shampoos and conditioners. I also like using oils on my hair, such as coconut, argan, and almond oils.
