Patrick Ta Double Take Creme and Powder Blush Duo in She’s That Girl Review and Swatches

The new Double Take Cream and Powder Blush Duos from Patrick Ta make it easy to layer your cream and powder blush for a healthy glowy complexion.

She’s That Girl

I picked up the duo in She’s That Girl which is a gorgeous bright pink shade.

The packaging is a beautiful rose gold and it includes a plastic lid to cover the cream blush portion to keep the powder out of it.

I have worn the powder blush by itself as well as layered with the cream blush. The two Products layered provide all day wear, on me, whereas when I wear the powder blush alone, it seems to fade a little faster. The cream does set down completely and I didn’t feel any stickyness or heavy feeling once applied. I feel like I can get a light wash of color with just the powder portion and need to use a light hand when applying the cream.

Patrick has said that he uses these blush duos by applying the powder first and then the cream on top.

I feel like the shade range is very limited so far and I hope that Patrick Ta releases some more shades in this formula. I’m hoping for some softer pinky nude shades since I don’t tend to wear overly warm colors or bright colors of blush that often.

I feel like this shade, when layered, can look a little bright on my skin tone if I’m not really light handed in applying it, and this color tends to bring out redness in my complexion depending what other makeup shades I wear with it. I do feel like I prefer the shade of the powder on it’s own more than layered when I want a more natural look.

Swatches of She’s That Girl powder and cream

Overall, I really do like the formula of this Blush Duo, although I’ve found that I don’t reach for this as often as I thought I would simply because the shade appears kind of bright on me. I really like the formula of this blush duo, though.

I hope he releases more colors in this formula such as a rosy nude and a softer pink shade. I think this shade would look great on medium and deeper skin tones.

The Double Take Blush Duos retail for $34, and are part of the permanent collection currently available at Sephora.
