The Chanel Holiday Makeup Collection Les Ornements de Chanel features eye shadows, a highlighter, lipsticks, lip glosses, nail polish, and an eye liner that are all limited edition. The highlighter and eye shadows are embossed with Chanel’s button design and the lipsticks feature limited edition black and gold click style packaging.
I’m in love with the elegant and classic shades of this collection. The eye colors compliment the red lipsticks perfectly with pops of gold. Red and gold are classic holiday colors to me and what I love to wear during the festive time of year.
I’ve picked up several pieces from the collection that I’ll review here.
Eclat Magnetique de Chanel Highlighter in Metal Peach– a gorgeous peach with metallic shine. This shade seems to look less peach on my cheek than on my hand. I love how it looks applied. It compliments the red lipsticks perfectly on my skin.
Les 4 Ombres Eye shadow quad in Lumiere Et Opulence– features shades in peach, antique greenish brown, gold, and burgundy brown.
Rouge Coco Lip Glosses in Rouge Carmin and Rouge Grenat– these lip glosses are very opaque, offering full color pay off on the lips with intense shine. I love to layer these over a red lipstick.
Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lipsticks in Rose Delicieux and Rouge Majestueux– this is Chanel’s satin formula lipstick which happens to be my favorite of their lipstick formulas. I’m in love with these colors, they both really brighten my face.

There are four more limited edition shades of the lipsticks in various shades of red, two single ombré Première shadows in gold and plum, two nail polishes in red and dark green, and a khaki eye liner. I will probably pick up more shades of the lipsticks but didn’t feel I would use the other eye shadow colors or liner much so skipped them, and I have plenty of nail polish in similar shades so passed on those as well.
Overall, I think this is a classy and elegant collection with timeless, classic colors. These are the type collections that really make me excited because I know I will enjoy using these items all the time and they are appropriate for any occasion.
My favorite pieces from this collection are the lipsticks and highlighter. The lipsticks have made me fall in love with red lips all over again because I love this formula most out of all of Chanel’s lipsticks. I also love to collect highlighters and I’m always happy with Chanel’s highlighter formulas.
