I’ve been using The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream by Tatcha for about a month now. The texture of this eye cream is amazing because the warmth of your finger allows it to melt into the skin on contact leaving the under eye area feeling hydrated and silky without feeling anything. It works for all skin types including my combination/sensitive skin and the packaging is simply gorgeous with it’s white pearly jar and flower inside the lid. It sparks major joy with I use it.
The Silk Peony contains some great ingredients:
- Silk extract which provides a luminous glow from the amino acids and proteins, in a similar structure to skin.
- Japanese wild peony extract which helps seal in hydration and strengthen the skin.
- Tatcha’s Hadasei-3™ complex which is a blend of Japanese fermented superfoods including Uji green tea, Okinawa mozuku algae, and Akita rice. This potent blend is in most of Tatcha’s products.
You can see the balmy texture and lovely flower in this photo.
The Silk Peony eye cream helps blur fine lines and wrinkles to reveal skin that is radiant, soft, and smooth.
I can definitely see a blurring effect and more brightness and radiance shortly after applying and am loving how this eye cream doesn’t make my eyes water like most eye creams do with my sensitive eyes. This formula is gentle enough to use all around the eye area, including the eyelid. This is one of the few eye creams I’ve used that actually doesn’t irritate my eyelids at all and I’ve noticed an improvement of the tone and texture of my lids and under eyes with reduced dark circles as well.
Overall I feel like this is one of the best eye creams I’ve tried in a long time and that includes a lot of medical grade products. I feel like everyone could use and love this eye cream because is gentle, yet effective. You get the typical amount for an eye cream which is half ounce and a little bit really does go a long way. If you are like me and take forever to use up an eye cream this will last you quite a while. I use eye creams mostly at night and most jars tend to last me 9 months to a year applying the tiniest amount. I honestly feel like this is a bargain at $60 USD because the formula is on par with the best eye creams I’ve used.
The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream is currently available at Tatcha.com, Sephora, and QVC. Let me know if you have tried this eye cream yet and how it compares to your favorites.
