Chanel just released the new Holiday 2023 Makeup Collection and I immediately loved the classic shades and pretty sparkle of the products this year. I skipped most of last years Collection because the colors didn’t suit my skin tone and I am so excited that this years Collection are beautiful colors and are the style of makeup I love to wear for holiday.
Lumiere Graphique Eyeshadow Palette
The Lumiere Graphique Eyeshadow Palette is the first five pan palette Chanel has released in quite a few years. I love the neutral shades and the shimmer.
This palette includes shades of light gold, taupe, sparkling black, peach, and white. All of the shades are shimmery in this palette.
These eyeshadows are a lovely formula that goes on easily and blends effortlessly on the eyes without fallout. They wear all day on me with no creasing or fading. The quality of the shadows is top notch this year.
Duo Lumiere Illuminating Powder Duo Highlighter
The Duo Lumiere Illuminating Powder includes a peachy beige and a sparkling white shade that can be worn alone or swirled together for a festive holiday glow.
These shades are quite shimmery compared to other Chane highlighters I have but they look beautiful on the skin and last all day without fading or emphasizing skin texture.
Rouge Allure L’Extrait in 812 Beige Brut and 857 Midnight Red are the two new shades in this lipstick line for Chanel. These are the first Rouge Allure L’Extrait lipsticks I have purchased. Beige Brut is a peachy beige Jude shade that isn’t too warm on my complexion. Midnight Red is a metallic shimmery medium red that is perfect for the holidays.
The formula is soft and a little waxy with high pigment. They can be built up on the lips to full opacity and have a satin texture with a little shine on the lips. I really love this formula and plan to pick up more of these from the permanent range.
Rouge Allure Laque in 90 Golden Beige is a liquid lipstick that dries to a satin like finish instead of matte. This shade is very peachy with gold shimmer. On my lips the peach somewhat disappears and the good shimmer is very prominent and metallic looking and isn’t very flattering on my cool toned complexion. While I like this lipstick formula, I do t like this shade on myself.
The Chanel Holiday Nail Polishes are classic beautiful colors.
167 White Silk is a neutral beige ivory cream
169 Tuxedo is a shimmery antique gold that doesn’t lean green.
171 Sequins is a black with silver shimmer
The shimmer in Sequins doesn’t seem to be as prominent on the nails once it dries but it does give it a shiny and sophisticated look.
I am loving all of the products from this collection this year, except the shade of Golden Beige lipstick, only because the shade just doesn’t suit my skin tone. I love everything else and look forward to wearing these products this fall and holiday season. They are also perfect for date nights as well.
