This year, I have been focusing more on using up a lot of haircare that I have had for a while or that is already opened. I feel like I have been doing pretty well at using up a lot of things and have more products that are almost done and will be included next time.
Skincare
My skincare routine has been very simple this year with a focus on finishing up some products as well as transitioning to fragrance free options as much as I can. I’ve been loving Korean and Japanese Skincare the most and will post an updated skincare routine soon.
La Mer Cleansing Foam– I continue to use this Im for my morning cleanse and will continue to purchase.
Pyunkang Yul Sheet Masks– I love these sheet masks. They are simple but very hydrating and nourishing. I have repurchased.
Olay Night Recovery Cream– this is my favorite night time cream right now and I have already repurchased.
SK-II Essence Sample-I loved this essence and plan to purchase a full size once I finish up some other products. It really left my skin looked bright and clear. I did notice a difference while using it.
Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover– this is a long time staple in my collection and I will continue to repurchase.
Cerave Cream-I used this mainly as a body moisturizer during the winter and spring time. I switched to a lighter lotion for summer. I love this on my body, but I don’t like is as much for my face as it is a little too heavy for my face and can break me out.
La Mer Cleansing Oil– I finished this cleansing oil and will not repurchase because I do t like the scent anymore. I love the way it cleanses but the scent has become something I don’t want to smell anymore. I also prefer other cleansing oils as a fraction of the price like Hada Labo cleansing oil. This also seems to be discontinued.
Cerave Hydrating Cream to Foam Cleanser– this is my favorite night time cleanser. I also like it has a hand wash in the winter if my hands are very dry. I always have this in my shower. It also lasts a long time.
Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser-I like to use this on my face in warmer months but I really love it lost as a hand soap. It doesn’t dry my hands out like other soaps. Will definitely repurchase.
The Ordinary Marine Hyaloronics– I really like this serum. It is light and absorbs really well, kind of like an essence. It was very hydrating and wonderful and really inexpensive. I already repurchased.
Differin Gel– I am still using this 2-3 times per week and will continue to repurchase.
Aquaphor– my staple lip balm. I have a couple backups.
Makeup
Dior Iconic Overcurl Mascara x 2- this is one of my favorite mascaras and I will continue to repurchase.
KKW Beauty Concealers in shades 1, 3, and 4– i used to really like these concealers and would mix two shades together. They no longer sell the KKW brand makeup so can’t repurchase. I’ve replaced them with the MAC 24 hour concealers.
MAC Viva Glam V Lipstick– my most repurchase lipstick of all time. It’s sadly discontinued and I’m working through my backups.
MAC Eyeliner– I love this eyeliner for my bottom lashes mostly. It never runs or smudges. It’s a great staple. This was a dark cool brown shade. I will continue to repurchase these in various colors. (I think this particular liner might be discontinued.)
Milani Eye Primer– my favorite eye primer right now. It is great for oily eyelids and keeps eyeshadow looking great all day.
Hair Care
Garnier Honey Treasures Conditioner x 2-I really like this conditioner for winter time when my hair is extra dry. It’s thick and nourishing. Also smells wonderful. Will repurchase in the future.
Pantene Coconut Milk and Shea Butter Conditioner– this is a Sams Club exclusive and I love it. It is very moisturizing but also light weight and perfect for the summer.
Redken Extreme Conditioner– I like to use this a couple times a week as a protein treatment. My hair doesn’t like proteins for every day use but this routine keeps my hair healthy.
Redken Extreme Lengths Conditioner– I used this interchangeably with the other Extreme conditioner and it works just as well for my very long hair.
Pureology Strength Cure Conditioner Sample– I like this conditioner except the scent tends to turn a little sour by the end of the day and isn’t the best scent. Not sure if I will purchase a full size bottle. I might if it is on sale. I like the formula and the way it conditions my hair, just put off by the scent.
Hempz Conditioner Sample- this smells great, just like the body lotion but as a hair conditioner it is not quite moisturizing enough. I need a little more nourishment so I won’t purchase the full size.
Suave shampoos in Coconut and Strawberry- these have been some of my staples for years. I really like them in the summer when my scalp gets oiler because they clean so well and keep hard water buildup at bay.
Suave Coconut Conditioner– I really liked this and will repurchase. It’s light weight with a lot of slip and keeps my hair detangled. I like to mix it with my Pantene conditioner.
Pantene Miracle Rescue– I use this as a hair mask and have repurchased. It’s nice and moisturizing without being too heavy.
Garnier Honey Treasures Shampoo– I really like this shampoo in the winter. It’s a little too moisturizing to use in the summer. I have repurchase before and might again this winter.
Biolage Hydrasource Conditioning Balm (not shown)– I have gone through countless runs of this but I don’t like the new formula since they changed it. Not sure I’ll repurchase after I use up these older tubs.
Biolage Hydrasource Shampoo Liter size ( not shown) I’ve used this for years and recently switched to suave shampoos for the summer since I don’t need the extra moisture right now.
Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner (not shown)– one of my most used hair conditioners. It’s a light weight moisturizing formula which is great for the summer.
Pantene Repair and Protect Conditioner (not shown)– this is my favorite Pantene conditioner for the winter when my hair is more dry. It’s a little thicker than the moisture renewal.
That is all I have empty for now. I’m going to continue to use up stuff I have before buying as much new haircare or skincare for the second half of the year.
