Today I’m sharing all of the beauty products I finished during the second half of 2021.
I have been using my La Mer skincare routine almost exclusively and keeping my skin care routine very simple for a while now. I was excited to finish a few jars of my La Mer moisturizers.
La Mer Blue Heart Moisturizing Creme 3.4 ounce- This lasted me almost two years of daily use. I just love this Creme so much. It is my holy grail, desert island skincare product. I already opened my new jar.
La Mer Treatment Lotion– a full size and a mini 1 ounce size- I use this twice a day and don’t ever want to be without it. It adds so much moisture to my skin.
La Mer Micellar Water– a mid size and a mini 1 ounce size- I use this to take off my makeup before my oil cleanse step. It is gentle but effective in removing makeup.
La Mer Treatment Lotion Masks- box of 6 masks- I had been saving these to use when I really wanted a bit of pampering so it took me a while to use them all. I doubt I will repurchase them, though, because I don’t feel they do much more than the Treatment Lotion I already use. I am also trying not to purchase as many individual packaged skincare items to reduce the waste so I’ve stopped buying sheet masks abs use masks in a jar or tube instead. I did enjoy using every one of these.
La Mer Cleansing Foam–full size- this is my favorite cleanser. It is gentle but also really cleans my skin well. I use it twice daily and this tube lasts a very long time. You only need a little pea size amount.
La Mer Moisturizing Soft Cream–1 ounce- I use this during the day time mostly in the winter and spring. I already repurchase another jar.
La Mer Cool Gel Cream– half ounce- I like using this in the summer. This little jar lasts me the whole summer and I already repurchase one for this coming summer.
Chanel Sublimage Grains de Vanille- I really enjoyed this face scrub and will definitely repurchase. It lasted a really long time and I love how it smells. I’m currently using up some other scrubs so will wait to purchase until I run out of those.
Colleen Rothschild Cotton Pads– I really liked these. They are very comparable to the Chanel ones in both size and the way they feel. I would definitely repurchase these during a sale. I currently have plenty of the Shiseido and Chanel ones so don’t need any right now.
Chanel Sublimage Samples- Cleanser, La Creme, and 3 Exfoliating Toners– I love using these Chanel Sublimage samples. I love the exfoliating toner and already purchased a full size bottle. It is one of the few acid toners I can use without any irritation.
I also love the Creme and cleanser and will definitely purchase them in the future.
La Mer Samples- Treatment Lotion and Micellar Water– I get these sample sizes as gift with purchase when I order from their website and I like to use these as I get them so they don’t go bad.
Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover– this is another staple product I have used for years. It’s the best I’ve tried for my super sensitive eyes.
(Not pictured) DHC Pure Soap bars– I still use these in the shower and always have a few on hand.
I wasn’t able to use up as many makeup products as I had hoped, but I do have some that are running low I will probably finish in the beginning of 2022.
Dior Iconic Overcurl Mascara-2 tubes- this is my current favorite mascara. It really lifts and holds a curl in my lashes without needing to use an eyelash curler.
Chanel Le Volume de Chanel Mascara– always a staple and another favorite mascara.
L’Oréal Telescopic Mascara— I always use this in my bottom lashes because it never smudges.
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation– this is a staple foundation for me. When I’m not sure what to put on it always looks good and the color is a perfect match.
KKW Beauty Concealer-this took forever to use up even though the tube is small. I only use a few dots under my eyes, and sometimes to spot conceal blemishes. I love the full coverage and the long wear this concealer provides. I bought a couple back ups before the KKW Beauty website closed down so will continue using as long as those last before I move on to something else.
Milani Eye Primer– this is my current favorite eye primer. It is great for keeping my makeup looking fresh all day on my oily, hooded lids. I love how affordable it is and I already repurchased it.
Gisou Shampoo and Conditioner Minis-I really enjoyed the shampoo and would purchase the full size during a sale. The conditioner wasn’t heavy enough for my long hair and didn’t condition my hair as much as I like so I won’t purchase that. They both smell wonderful and rinse out well.
Colleen Rothschild Hair Mask– I love this and have a new one already in use. I wanted to purchase more of these but they have been out of stock since last summer. I have been rationing my last tub. I love the way this makes my hair look and feel, and it smells heavenly, but I am really annoyed that stock isn’t reliable. I don’t want to love a product that I need to use regularly if I’m not sure I can get any more of it in a timely fashion. Reliable availability is very important to me in staple products and it honestly makes me lose interest in brands that can’t provide that so I haven’t decided if I will repurchase if it does ever come back.
Colleen Rothschild Shampoo- travel size- I like the shampoo a lot. The shampoo lasts me a lot longer than the hair mask and I feel like it works better with the matching hair mask then it does with my other conditioners.
(Not Pictured) Biolage Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner Litres– I always use Biolage Hydrasource. It’s my holy grail shampoo and conditioner. I’ve been using it for years and always buy it when I find it on sale in the liter sizes. I don’t save these for the empties photos because I don’t like keeping larger trash sitting around.
That is all I have to share for now. In 2022, I have already done a lot of decluttering of my makeup by tossing anything that has expired so I want to try to use up some of the powders I have in rotation and use up more makeup items. I also want to finish up all the La Mer and Chanel skincare samples I have.
