It’s been a rough week in the pain department this week, between the storms and just doing a lot more lately, I likely was overdoing it. So to relax and recoup I spent Saturday trying to rest as much as I could and then Sunday I decided to do a complete at home spa day and really give myself some self-love and self care. I’m posting this a day late because I just I had too much pain in my hands to get it finished yesterday.
What better way to lavish some self love on yourself than to use some of your most favorite skincare products. I spent extra time and did a cream mask, face scrub, body scrub, and pretty much the whole works. I then continued the pampering in the evening before bed, including a face massage. If you would like to know everything I did then just keep reading.
Here I’ll go through everything I did and the order in which I applied the products. My skin looks and feels really hydrated, renewed, and healthy today.
I invite you to follow along and do this routine yourself using your favorite skin care products. It doesn’t have to be La Mer Products or expensive products. Use whatever you love and makes you feel your best and most cared for. I hope that sharing my self-care at home facial routine can inspire you to do your own at home self care.
At Home Facial Morning Pampering

First, before my morning shower, I cleansed my skin with the Micellar Water and then applied the Tonic and let them soak into my skin.
Next, I applied a generous layer of the Revitalizing Mask and left it on for about 20 minutes and then got in the shower and rinsed it off and did my usual shower routine and washed my hair.

Once my face was rinsed in the shower, I wiped off any excess mask that was left, but most of it had already absorbed completely into my skin.
Then I used the Replenishing Oil Exfoliator before I cleansed with the Cleansing Foam.

Once out of the shower I applied my usual morning skincare of the Treatment Lotion, Concentrate, and completed my skin care with the Moisturizing Soft Cream.

I also applied some of the lip balm and then a little bit of the Volumizing gloss on top.
I’m really beginning to love using this gloss every day since I’ve gotten used to the tingling, which goes away after a short time. It really does seem to make my lips look smoother and they do feel healthier after I’ve had it on for a while.
Today I decided to just let my skin breathe and enjoy just wearing my skin care, so I did not apply any make up.
Evening Facial and Massage

In the evening before bed, I cleansed my skin again with the micellar water and then applied the Treatment Lotion Sheet Mask, and smoothed it on with The flat facial roller. I left it on for about 10 minutes.
Then I washed my face with the cleansing foam as usual and applied my nighttime skin care of the Treatment lotion, Hydrating Serum, and I mixed the Renewal Oil into my Creme de la Mer Moisturizer so my skin would be extra supple to use the massage tools.
I then used the face roller sculptor to do a lymphatic drainage massage focusing on my jaw area and sides and back of my neck to help relieve tension in those areas. I deal with TMJ a lot and using this roller around my ears, jaw, and neck really helps combat that.
I then used the Gua Sha stone to do the motions on the little card that came with it, and really try to focus on relaxing all of my face muscles. I really do feel like this helps with circulation and definitely helped with lymphatic drainage. I felt like my sinuses cleared afterwards. The key with any of these facial massage tools is to start at the top of your face and work your way down, but still sweeping the stone or massage tools in an upward and outward motion. You also don’t want to use too much pressure. Light pressure is enough to stimulate the circulation and relax the muscles.
So that’s what I did for my self-care Sunday at home facial routine yesterday. I really feel like it’s important to take the time to do a longer skin care and self-care routine at least once a week. I think it really benefits overall well being and helps keep our skin healthy.
Did you do anything special for your self-care this week? Let me know what you like to do for self-care. Also if you have any questions leave them down in the comments.
