MAC Summer Collection Review and Swatches

I picked up a couple products from the MAC Cosmetics Summer Bronze Collection. While everything looked beautiful, I have been extra selective when purchasing new make up lately. I try to purchase only things that I will actually use a lot. The eyeshadows are actually ones I already have under different shade names because I purchased them when they were released in the previous fairy collection.

Most of the lip product shades just didn’t excite me except for this lipstick.

These limited edition products come in a gorgeous bronze packaging.

Radiant Matte Bronzing Powder in Beige-Ing Beauty– a neutral bronze

This bronzer is gorgeous on the skin. This appears darker on my skin then most of the bronzers I have reviewed lately, but the tone of this is perfect. It is easy to apply and blends well into the skin. The texture on the skin is more like a satin skin finish. It’s definitely not a flat matte and also not too radiant either. It is a gorgeous natural finish and I feel like this is the best bronzer formula that MAC Cosmetics has released in a long time.

Swatch of Beige-Ing Beauty. I’m NW13 in Studio Fix Fluid for reference.

I may even pick up the other shade during a sale, if it stays in stock. I really love this formula.

Lipstick in A La Plage– a bronzy nude with pearl in a Lustre finish.

On me, this lipstick is a beautiful pinky nude with pearl. This formula of lipstick is on the sheer side with a gorgeous sheen. This formula doesn’t stay on the lips quite as long as a matte formula would, but I prefer the Lustre look over a matte and I feel like they are more comfortable to wear.

The luster finish is my favorite Mac lipstick formula. The very first product I ever bought from MAC was a Lustre lipstick. I have already been wearing this lipstick quite a lot since I have received it. I’ll definitely be picking up a back up of this shade.

The MAC Cosmetics Summer Bronze Collection is currently available everywhere MAC is sold. I’ve noticed that shades in products come in and out of stock frequently on Nordstrom, and last time I checked most items are in stock on Macy’s website.
