La Mer The Bronzing Powder 2020 Review and Swatches

I ordered La Mer’s new bronzer as soon as I saw it available on Nordstrom during a recent sale. The La Mer Bronzing Powder is just stunning. The packaging is beautiful and feels very luxe in the hand, and the powder is silky and very finely milled.

It actually has three shades in the compact: a soft shimmering sandy gold highlight shade, the satin matte bronzer, and a peachy pink shimmer blush shade.

These shades can be used separately or mixed together to enhance and bronze your complexion. The bronze shade has a neutral yellow undertone on me, and looks satin in the pan but appears more matte once applied. I feel like it has a very natural skin like finish.

The powder is scented with the same fragrance as last year’s bronzing powder, but seems to be a little lighter. Once applied to the face, I don’t notice the scent anymore.

I have swatched all three shades separately here.

When I applied the bronzer to my face, I used a fluffy brush and used a light hand like I usually do when I wear bronzer. The bronzer is a great color for my skin tone applied lightly. I first applied just the bronzer shade and then added a little bit of the blush and highlight shade and blended them together on my cheeks. This allowed me to focus the colors where I wanted them. I feel like the shades are very pigmented, on my skin tone, and blend out really nicely on the skin to achieve a natural sun kissed glow. It lasted all day on my skin without any touch ups.

I really love the colors in this bronzing powder and I feel like they would work for a lot of skin tones.

The Bronzing Powder by La Mer retails for $90 and is currently available at Saks.com, and coming in and out of stock on Nordstrom.com. It will be available soon on La Mer’s website and is limited edition. It should also begin popping up soon on other department store websites.
