Today I’m wearing one of my go to looks for date night with the hubbie. I like to stick to some sort of smokey eye for date night because I feel the most like myself. I tend to leave experimenting with other colors and techniques for other times.
We plan to go out to have sushi for dinner so I went light on the lips so I didn’t have to worry about a brighter color getting everywhere while I’m eating.
La Mer Fluid Foundation (I’m in shade Ivory)- I felt like my skin is having a really good day today so I opted for a lighter coverage foundation. This La Mer foundation is less coverage than the MAC Studio Fix, on me, and I’m really liking how it lets my skin shine through while imparting more glow.
KKW Beauty Concealer in shades 3 and 4- I mix these shades for my under eyes and on the rest of my face I spot conceal with just shade 4 only where I need it. I actually really like how this concealer blended with the foundation. This is my first time pairing the two together.
MAC Prep and Prime powder– I use this lightly all over to set my foundation and concealer.
Milano Eye Primer– my holy grail eye primer.
Tom Ford Nude Dip Eye Quad– I used the bottom two shades on my lids and outer v.
MAC Custom Palette– I used two shades from the top row, Shroom as brow highlight and Malt as a transition shade lightly dusted over the edge of the taupe shade to blend it up towards my brow. I pretty much use these two shades with most looks because they match my skin tone really well.
To finish off the eyes I used MAC Blacktrack Fluidline, to line the top lash line and Chanel Volume de Chanel mascara on top lashes and L’Oreal Telescopic on bottom lashes. (I forgot to include the mascaras in the photo.)
Chanel Blush in Rose Bronze-I love this blush because it goes with everything.
La Mer Glow Highlighter– I layered the powder highlight over the cream highlight in the tops of my cheek bones. It makes a gorgeous natural glowy sheen.
MAC Lip Liner In Dervish- this is a nice neural pink liner that I use a lot with light pink lipsticks.
MAC Politely Pink Lipstick– a nice shimmery pale pink. This will be easy to reapply after dinner.
I’ll probably wear a dress of some kind later so won’t be wearing this casual gray top that’s in the photo.
To finish off my look I’ll be wearing Chanel No 22 for my fragrance. I feel like this is a romantic scent.
