MAC Cosmetics Holiday Collection for 2023 is such a fun collection of colors this year. I love the cool toned and wintery eye shadow colors and the packaging is beautiful. It’s the first holiday collection in a few years that I have been this interested in.
Eyeshadow Palettes
The outer packaging has a beautiful design that looks like crystal mountains to me.
Snowbody’s Business Eyeshadow Palette
Snowbody’s Business Eyeshadow Palette is full of beautiful blues and cool tones neutrals. I love these deep cool browns. The shimmer shades have a lot of pretty nuances once applied and are so much prettier in person.
The eyeshadow formula lasts all day on me without creasing or fading and are very pigmented and easy to blend.
Sparkle Storm Eyeshadow Palette
Sparkle Storm Eyeshadow Palette is more neutral to warm with this unique blue shade and the white also has an icy blue shift to it.
The shadow formula is the same quality as the larger palette.
Extra Dimension Skinfinish Highlighter in Gleamscape
Gleamscape is a beautiful champagne with pink shimmer. The shimmer particles are pretty small but noticeable on the skin if you look very closely.
I really like this shade and feel like it looks really pretty worn with coral and pink blush shades.
Lip Gloss Sets
Both Lip Gloss sets come with a cream gloss shade, a glitter gloss shade, and the same tube of clear Lipglass.
The Purple Lip Gloss Trio has a very dark Smokey grayish purple cream gloss and a pretty pink with purple glitter gloss shade. I don’t like the Smokey gray purple at all. It makes me look very ill and is super unflattering on me.
The glitter gloss is pretty in the tube but on the lips it has some undertone that isn’t as flattering. I had an old purple glitter MAC gloss years ago I loved and was hoping it would look similar but it doesn’t.
The Pink lipgloss trio is very pretty with the medium pink cream that is very flattering and perfect shade for every day. The pink glitter shade is also very pretty worn on its own or layered over a lipstick. I really love this set.
Lustre Lipstick Set
This year MAC has this pretty lipstick set in my favorite Lustreglass Lipstick formula. This set includes a nice range of colors.
The shades are a bright pink, brown nude, warm reddish brown, a more warm orange brown, and a purple.
I knew I wouldn’t care for the purple shade, which they seem to include an unflattering purple in every lipstick set. But the rest of the shades are really pretty and wearable. I love the lipstick formula and the value for all of the lipsticks is really good as it costs less then buying this many separately, especially when you can get these on sale.
There are a couple new limited edition shades and some from the permanent range.
Shade names are Stir Crazy, Hug Me, PDA, Business Casual, and Holiday Jams.
Final Thoughts
Overall I really like this collection and enjoy the cooler colors and the pretty packaging. My favorite products are definitely the eyeshadow palettes because I don’t have any blue shades like these and they are so pretty on the eyes.
The only thing I didn’t like is the shades in the purple Lipglass set which I ended up returning.
