The New Spring -Summer 2021 Makeup Collection from Chanel was just released and I picked up the Blush and Highlighter Duo and all three of the nail polishes.
Fleurs De Printemps Blush and Highlighter Duo
Fleurs de Printemps Duo contains a warm coral blush and a pinky peach highlighter in a baked gelee type of formula.
The product pans are embossed with a floral motif and it includes the usual half moon brush.
The blush applies best with a more dense brush so it can pick up the product better. The first time I wore this blush it seem to apply a little patchy but switching to a denser cheek brush solved that problem for me. The two colors blend together beautifully on the cheeks when swirled together for a more radiant blush. The blush color by itself is a gorgeous warm coral on me. I was worried it would be too warm on me, because in some photos online it looked very orange, but it definitely looks like a warm pink coral on my skin.
The highlighter is a gorgeous pink tone on my skin tone and it’s quite buildable if you want to build up the intensity of the shine, but it can also be worn quite sheer as well.
Both the blush and highlighter wore all day on me. Blush is always the first thing to fade on my skin and that’s one of the things I love about all my Chanel blushes, that they don’t fade, and they last all day on me. This blush is no exception to that because it looked beautiful all day.
The Chanel spring nail colors are beautiful wearable shades featuring:
- Pensee: a peachy nude shade with a hint of pearl
- Anthurium: a pinky red cream
- Metallic Bloom: a warm metallic red with an orange shift.
I am currently wearing Metallic Bloom and this is the shade I was most excited about. It is similar to my most favorite shade of Radiant Red, but more warm toned. The metallic sheen is so much prettier in person. I just couldn’t quite capture the beauty of it in the photos. The quality of the Chanel nail polishes is unmatched, in my opinion. These three polishes are the same great quality I expect from Chanel.
I’m very happy with the pieces I purchased from this collection. I love the colors of this blush duo and know I will wear it often because coral is my favorite blush color to wear and I love a pink highlighter. The nail polishes are staple colors for me so I know I will get a lot of use out of them, as well. Chanel nail polish is also my favorite formula.
The Chanel Spring-Summer 2021 Makeup Collection is currently available on chanel.com and at Chanel boutiques. It will most likely make it out to counters in department stores soon.
