This month I’ve tried a lot of new makeup and have found some immediate new favorites, but have kept my skincare pretty much the same except for switching between a few serums during my night time skincare routine. I’m sharing all of my favorites from the month and one skincare fail.
Makeup Favorites:
Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer– this primer is amazing for keeping my pores clear. It also keeps my makeup looking fresh all day. I find I touch up less throughout the day when using this.
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation– this has been my go-to foundation for years and it’s just an easy option that I don’t have to wonder if it will look good. Plus this color match is perfect.
Chanel Eclat Magnetique de Chanel Highlighter– this is the new Chanel highlighter and it’s quickly become a favorite for the lovely color and the perfect amount of shine.
Marc Jacobs Air Blush in Kink and Kisses– this color in particular has been a long time favorite. It’s the perfect kiss of coral on my skin tone and this lasts forever because I’ve used it so much but can’t really tell. It’s a great formula blush that I don’t hear much about anymore.
Chanel Rouge Majestueux Lipstick– my new favorite red lipstick. This color brightens my face and somehow is the perfect shade of red for me.
Chanel Rouge Delicieux Lipstick– this has been a go-to for an every day color. And I love the formula of these new Chanel Luminous Intense Lipsticks.
Chanel Mordore Nude Lip Liner– still my favorite liner ever.
Chanel Tisse Essentiel Eye Quad– my new favorite matte neutrals quad. The colors and formula look soft and sophisticated and I just love it.
Tom Ford Nude Dip Eye Quad– this is probably my most used eye quad for the past few months. It’s always a perfect option.
Chanel Les Exclusifs Beige Eau de Parfum– I think I’ve worn this fragrance the most in October. It’s just gorgeous. This scent just smells very pretty and happy, to me.
Chanel Radiant Red Nail Polish and Chanel Eau de Nacre Nail Polish– these are my current favorite shades to wear. I love the red on toes and the nude on fingernails. The Radiant Red is a gorgeous jewel tone red that makes me happy to look at.
Skincare Favorites:
Shangpree Eye Masks– I’ve been reaching for these a lot this month and really enjoy the results they give and how well they stay on while I’m doing other things.
Tatcha Luminous Lifting Mask– still my most favorite mask of all time. I use these weekly right now.
Tatcha Camelia Oil Cleanser– been reaching for this oil cleanser the most lately. It’s always a love.
La Mer The Treatment Lotion– this is one of the best discoveries of the year for me. I use this morning and night no matter what other essences I add in to my routine. It really heals my skin and keeps it clear. And this little bottle has lasted months now.
La Mer Creme de La Mer– another great discovery this year. It’s completely healed my skin barrier and cleared up all my redness. I no longer get eczema breakouts on my face. It really does provide the miracle results, for me, that some people claim. Just this and the treatment lotion are all I use some nights when I’m very tired and want minimal effort. I’ll be doing a full review on this soon. I want to use this consistently for several months before writing a full review.
Tatcha Silk Cream- this has become my go to moisturizer for the daytime. I just love it. And this little pot has lasted a long time.
Tatcha Silk Peony Eye Cream– I haven’t been using eye cream as much this month but when I do it’s been this one, for a gentle and soothing eye cream.
Other Favorite Things:
- I’ve really been enjoying writing these blog posts. I really look forward to talking beauty with all of you and it’s become one of my favorite things to do.
- Another favorite hobby this month has been testing out new fragrances. I’ve enjoyed getting samples of fragrances I’m interested in and spending the time to get to know the fragrance before buying the full bottle. It’s a fun adventure in new smells. This is how I discovered I love Chanel Misia and just added the bottle to my collection.
- Krispy Kreme Donuts- my favorite food item treat lately.
Fails: this past month I’ve only tried one item that did not work out at all and that was the Patchology Hydrate FlashMasques. I did a full review on these and you can read my full thoughts here.
