The Chanel Spring- Summer 2025 Makeup Collection for this year is called An Ode to Color and I have to agree that it is full of fun, playful colors that spark joy just to look at them. I’m loving the pretty greens and pinks.
I picked up a lot of the eye products and lip products but skipped the Jeux De Lumieres multi use highlighter and eyeshadow palette because I thought those colors would be too orange and gold for my skin tone.

I feel like these products will go well with the Dior spring collection as well, which I already reviewed. Just click here to read that post.
Eye Shadows and Eye Liners

I like the beautiful shimmers in these single eyeshadows.
The Chanel Ombre Essentiel Eye Shadow new shades are:
Menthe A Leau-a light mint green
Peche Glacee-a satin copper with a hint of pink
Mauve Sucre– a light lilac

These are such pretty shimmer shades and are very wearable.

An easy way to update your eye look for spring is to just do your normal go to neutral eye shadow application and use one of these shades on the center most part of the mobile lid area. This is the easiest way I like to use to try a new shade or change things up. I think these colors would go with most any neutral crease colors and darker outer V shades. Then the color on the center of the lid will be noticed but also still feel subtle if you aren’t used to wearing much color beyond every day neutrals.

Any time I see a green eye liner I’m immediately interested. I love using green with my every day brown smokey eye looks. It’s easy to add a touch of color to a look with a colored eyeliner.
The Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eye Liner new shades are:
Vert Lagon– a bluish green pearl
Mauve Intense– a mauve purple

Green and purple toned eye liners really being out the green in hazel eye colors like mine.

Even though this purple shade is called mauve, it is actually a plum purple on my skin. Very pretty.
Lip Balms

I’m am loving the fact that makeup brands are coming out with so many sheer balm like lipsticks these days because sheer and glossy or sheer balm type lipsticks have always been my favorites. I like when a hint of my natural lip color can come though. It also helps the shades not look to warm or orange on me.
The Chanel Rouge Coco Baume Shine Lip Balm shades are:
Honey Bliss– a nude with gold pearl
Raspberry Kiss– a cool toned pink
Blushing Pink– a light warmer pink
Charming Lilac– a light pinky purple.

These all are very wearable lip colors that are also hydrating. Honey Bliss is the only one with shimmer. It has flecks of gold. It reminds me of Boy Rouge Coco Flash only a little warmer, so if you like that shade, I think you would like this one.
Charming Lilac looks plum on my lips. It doesn’t come off as purple as it looks in the tube because all of the Rouge Coco balms are sheer.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m really happy with the products I purchased from this collection. These are all colors I will wear and get a lot of use from this spring. I feel like the shades are a classy way to do color while being wearable for everyday and inclusive of all skin tones. I think these shades would look really pretty on most people.
The Chanel Spring-Summer 2025 Makeup Collection is available now at Chanel, Nordstrom, Macy’s, and most other Chanel retailers.
