Chanel released this small collection of New Rouge Allure Velvet Lipsticks and I picked up three of the shades.
These lipsticks are in the velvet matte formula which is a soft blurring matte that isn’t too drying. The colors look pretty blurred out on the lips as well.
I picked up shades:
00:00, a mid toned red shade and my favorite of the three.
06:00 a brownish mauve rosewood shade
and 07:00 a bright medium pink.
All of the names are times of the night. The champagne for the collection showed the model changing her lip color each hour as she partied all night. Now I don’t know why is going to do that, but these shades do stay on the lips a long time for me.
Honestly I was hoping for some sort of pinky nude shade like I tend to usually wear but these shades I picked up are nice. I like the red one the best. The pink is a little bright for me for every day. I tend to tone it down with a more nude lip liner.

Overall I like these lipsticks but wish they had more variety in the shades offered. Chanel tends to do so many red and oranges it would be nice to have more range of pinky nudes.
