La Mer New Hydrating Infused Emulsion Review

La Mer recently released the Hydrating Infused Emulsion to their skincare line and since I just love liquid hydrators and a essences, I had to pick it up to try it out.

The first thing I noticed is that the packaging is much lighter weight than all of their other bottles. This bottle is completely plastic where is all of the previous bottles for serums are glass. I like this change is sometimes very heavy glass bottles are harder on painful hands and wrists, as well as not travel friendly. The packaging is still nice and beautiful like the rest of their packaging is known to be, but I like the direction of the packaging may be going The packaging is still nice and beautiful like the rest of their packaging is known to be.

This product is available in two sizes, 1.7 ounce and 4.2 ounces, and I purchased the smaller one to try it out.

The scent of this emulsion is very light, even lighter than the moisturizing cream.

This Hydrating Infused Emulsion is a milky, liquid, lotion consistency. La Mer’s Instagram says that this formula is a great option for those with acne. Those who have oily or acne prone skin may enjoy using this as your main moisturizer under sunscreen for the daytime.

This nutrient rich fluid is supposed to provide all day hydration and stabilize the skin barrier, as well as leaving wrinkles reduced and the complexion radiant. the formula is fast absorbing and ultra light leaving skin soothed and calm.

I have tested this out in my morning and evening skin care routines and enjoy using it in both. If I am using it in the evening, I like to use it after the treatment lotion and before my regular moisturizing cream as an extra liquid hydration step. This adds a lot more moisture and my skin feels hydrated and plump when I wake up in the mornings.

Using it in addition to the treatment lotion is a little bit too much hydration for the daytime in the summer for me, so during the day, I am using it as my daily moisturizer in place of the matte lotion. It leaves my skin feeling nourished all day without making my combination skin too oily during the day.

Final Thoughts

I am really enjoying this newest release from La Mer and feel like it has really kept my skin hydrated and radiant. I do feel like my lines abs wrinkles are not as noticeable since adding this to my routine, but it’s a subtle difference this far. The biggest difference is the improved radiance and deeper hydration for me. I am looking forward to seeing how well this keeps my skin hydrated in the winter months.

The La Mer Hydrating Infused Emulsion is available now at Nordstrom, Saks, Sephora, and La Mer’s website.
