I picked up two of the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Face and Eye Palettes when they were on sale last month.
The quality of both of these palettes is superb. There is not a bad shade in either of them. The formulas are smooth, buttery, and do not emphasize texture or dryness. These are just as wonderful quality as any of the Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quads in the wet dry formula that I have.
The eyeshadows wear all day without fading or creasing, on me, just like the quads. The Highlighters and Bronzers in these palettes are also very good quality. The highlighters are very pigmented so I go in with a light hand. The bronzers are also pigmented but can be built up very nicely, yet are not too much, even on my very fair complexion.
Rose Cashmere
Rose Cashmere is a gorgeous neutral palette with a beautiful sandy and summery vibe. The neutrals are perfect for every day and the coral color is a gorgeous pop of color in more wearable than it looks in the pan, for those of you who shy away from bright color.
I love the neutral shades in this palette and have worn it several times since I purchased it. these eyeshadows also coordinate really nicely with the Nude Dip Eye Quad.
This highlight is very golden in the pan but it does not look quite as yellow on my skin as I expected it to and I really like it.
Moonlit Violet
Moonlit Violet is gorgeous lavender and purple shades with very pretty Highlighter in the Bronzer shades with neutral undertones. The highlighter even has a little bit of a pink shift to it that is gorgeous.
These eyeshadow colors looks so soft and sophisticated on the eyes. I love the tones of the purples and how well this goes with the Virgin Orchid Quad.
Final Thoughts
I really love both of these palettes and I’m so glad that I purchased them on sale. The quality is wonderful and I love all of the shades in them.
The Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Face and Eye Palettes are available at Nordstrom and the Tom Ford website. They appear to be sold out and difficult to find online right now. Nordstrom has a different shade in stock currently. I do not know if they are being discontinued or not but if I find them available anywhere I will update this post.
