Our Spring Patio Refresh

This year we purchased an entire new patio furniture set. In our previous house we had a very small back deck and a small front porch so the furniture we brought with us to this new house, a couple years ago, was just a couple of small tables and chairs sets. They were too small for our new space and we wanted something a lot more comfortable and that would seat more people.

The set we ended up purchasing is exactly what I had envisioned.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of the set for the affordable price. It is exactly what I wanted and fits our space perfectly. I like that it has a high back on the chairs and couch, and the cushions are very comfortable and thick. It feels just like sitting on an inside sofa. We love it!

For the decor, I wanted to bring a little bit of a tropical and beachy vibe to the space without making it too “beach house” like. These teal green and white colored pillows and the toucans brought perfect pops of color and the atmosphere I was looking for.

The pillows were extremely affordable and really great quality. They’ve already been rained on a few times and the color has not bled through or faded at all. I love the texture that they bring to the space. They’re also very comfortable to lay on to take an outside nap.

I picked up these faux boxwood plants and round tray to use indoors but for now they make a perfect addition to this outdoor space.

I do plan to make a centerpiece for the table with some of my succulents that I need to repot. I have one pot that is overflowing with Hens and Chicks plants and they need to be put into multiple pots so they can flourish. I will make a future post about that when I repot them.

The rocking chairs we already had need new cushions since they were destroyed last year by a mischievous squirrel. I walked by the window and saw a squirrel shredding it to pieces! So we still need to find some replacement cushions for those. We will also probably add an umbrella at some point.

We aren’t completely done with all of our outside spaces but this is a very good start that we will be able to go ahead and enjoy all spring and summer long.
